Proverbs 10:26 Fingernails to the chalkboard_

As vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, so are sluggards to those who send them. Proverbs‬ ‭10:26‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬

This is a funny way to describe a lazy person. Every person impacts others, for the better, or for the worse. Its better for everyone if I engage fully in everything in front of me.

Vinegar is pungent, acidic, sour, and foul smelling. It has it’s place in the kitchen, but by itself, it’s not so pleasant. It is the product of the fermentation process. To teeth, it’s highly acidic and can ruin the enamel. Smoke in the eyes burns and stings. Closing your eyes after being exposed to it the pain still lingers.

Both experiences are not pleasant. And a person, or organization trying to accomplish something, experience the same when one part of the process, as small as it might be, doesn’t perform as it should. Vinegar is not wine. Smoke is not a fresh breeze. The natural response to the affects of sluggards is to avoid them and their results.
